Stock Market Challenge 2022

Four consecutive Thursday evenings: April 14th, 21st, 28th & May 5th.

In an effort to promote financial literacy and opportunities to create generational wealth, the Zeta Nu Lambda chapter partnered with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission to host the 2nd annual Stock Market Challenge. This 4-week virtual program divided activity time between educational lectures and interactive team collaboration segments. Guest speakers provided mini lectures on such topics as stocks, bonds, ETF's, cryptocurrency, real estate, futures and options which were then followed by interactive investment experiences.

In addition the teens managed $100,000 of virtual cash to help demystify the stock market, trade stock, build a portfolio while participating in friendly competition. Teams learned to cultivate real world skills and practice in mathematics, language arts, economics as well as financial literacy.
